Karask on keefiri, hapu v\u00f5i petipiima, kohupiima ja ka jogurtiga tehtud odra v\u00f5i j\u00e4medast nisujahu tainast k\u00fcpsetis. Karaskitainad on pehmed ning neid saab plaadil v\u00f5i vormis lusikaga laiali ajada.\u00a0Odrajahust valmistatud karask kuulub Eesti rahvustoitude hulka, on ka Iiri, \u0160otimaa jt maade rahvustoit. Karaski kergitusainena kasutatakse valdavalt s\u00f6\u00f6gisoodat, aga ka p\u00e4rmi.\u00a0Karaskitainale v\u00f5ib lisada k\u00f6\u00f6givilju, kuivatatud puuvilju, lihakuubikuid, juustu, p\u00e4hkleid, \u00fcrte jne. Karaskit v\u00f5ib k\u00fcpsetada nii lamedana ahjuplaadil kui ka madalamas v\u00f5i k\u00f5rgemas ahjuvormis (keeksivormis). Karaskit s\u00fc\u00fcakse v\u00f5imalikult v\u00e4rskelt.
